community music leader and passionate advocate for the impact communal music-making has on our young people and communities. Caroline holds a Master of Arts in Community Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, in addition to a Master of Christian Studies from Regent College at the University of British Columbia. She began playing the piano when she was seven years old and has since played the piano, the saxophone and the oboe in numerous community bands and orchestras. Investing in her community is a value that Caroline holds near and dear to her heart. She has sat on the City of Kitchener’s Arts & Culture Advisory Committee and is involved in community projects ranging from gardens to welcoming newcomers and refugees. “Community is what takes something theoretical and makes it real, something you can touch and feel and see make a difference – especially in the lives of kids.
